Google ads has many advantages but its still not perfect. Below are some of drawbacks of Google ads: 

  • If set up and managed incorrectly, it can be extremely costly. For example keyword “Kerala Tourism” market bid would be Rs.45, if managed correctly CPC can be brought to Rs.20, if not you would be paying Rs. 145 or more.
  • Setup and management can be very time consuming. Without proper Keyword Research you are gonna waste money on junk search quires. 
  • Limited space within your ad (Three lines of text when you are using Search only). Search Campaigns are most effective one in Google ads.
  • Unless you use other forms of Google advertising, such as Google Shopping and YouTube Advertising, you cannot include images or videos to sell products and services.
  • Depending on your industry, the cost per click (CPC) can be substantial (For example, one client paid between Rs.10 and Rs.45 per click)
  • Depending on your target market, the majority of the large potential audience can turn out to be irrelevant.


Don’t waste your investment. Google ads is not an easy platform to get best result.
